HCN
moves forward united as one
to fulfill God's plan for its existence.
As
we "abide in Him"
we
will be able to reach out with compassion,
in Christ-like love;
bringing
hope to the hopeless,
nurturing
the hurting
as we "love one another",
as
He commanded.
HCN
Vision
We
believe God has called HCN to be a church that has a passion for Christ
and compassion for the world. To accomplish this task we envision a church.
where peoples lives are transformed by the power of God at work through
life changing worship, relevant preaching, and dynamic relationships.
where people are welcomed, cared for and nurtured equally through multiple
Christ honoring ministries designed for all ages and all races, whether
they are a believer or a non-believer.
that is continually growing in spiritual depth as well as numerical
breadth.
that will look outside itself, reaching to the world with missions support
and resources, and reaching the community by birthing one new church by
2010.
that is willing to take risks to do great things for God. A church that
is willing to reach out in inclusiveness to impact culture by the power
of the Holy Spirit.
Believe?
1. We believe that the one God exists as three persons, Father,
Son and Holy Spirit.
2. We believe God has mightily and graciously
acted
in the life, death and
resurrection of Jesus Christ to save men from sin.
3. We believe men are sinful and fallen creatures by nature, and need
to be forgiven, renewed and cleansed by God.
4. We believe the possibilities of grace include both, a complete pardon
– being justified freely – and a thorough cleansing –
which makes possible for all Christians to live a holy and victorious
daily life.
5. We believe our salvation is by the merits and power of God’s
grace alone, received by us through faith in Jesus Christ.
6. We believe Christ is coming again, that all men will be judged, that
the redeemed will live in eternal blessedness, and
that the person who rejects Christ will be forever damned.
7. We believe these doctrines are based solidly upon the teachings of
Holy Scriptures, which is the written Word of God and the authority
of Christian faith and life.
8. We believe that in thought, speech and action,
the
Christian should be guided by the Spirit of God and
not by the patterns of a Godless world.
9. We believe Christians should minister,
to
the full extent of their ability, to
the sick, the needy, the imprisoned, and
the unsaved, everywhere.
10. We believe in love, acceptance and forgiveness for all people, of
all races, and welcome anyone into our fellowship.
